Originally drafted by the Mavericks at the top of the second round in the 1986 NBA Draft, Mark Price was traded to the Cavaliers that same day. June 17, 1986 would mark one of the most important days in franchise history as the Cavs not only acquired Price, they also got really good really quickly with the first-round selections of center Brad Daugherty (first overall) and shooting guard Ron Harper (eighth overall). Those three, along with forward Larry Nance, would go on to form the nucleus of a talented group that would lead the way to eight playoff appearances in nine seasons that also included three 50-win campaigns. Price was the quiet leader who didn't falter when the game was on the line. One of the league's most consistent shooters, he could beat a team from anywhere on the floor. Designed in the same line as all of our Cavs collages, this piece features four action images as well as a centerpiece image of Price getting ready to shoot a free throw. Price has signed this limited edition (50) Cavs Collage 16" x 20" image in silver paint pen. His signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated's Five Step Process.
