He began his professional career with the New York Nets in the ABA (1973-1975); winning the 1974 ABA Championship alongside Julius Erving. He was then traded to the San Antonio Spurs (1975-1980); where he became the face of the franchise during the ABA's final season and the Spurs' early NBA years. Kenon was a two-time ABA All-Star and an NBA All-Star in 1978; averaging over 20 points per game in multiple seasons with San Antonio. He also played for the Chicago Bulls (1980-1981) and the Cleveland Cavaliers (1981-1982) before retiring. Kenon remains one of the most beloved figures in San Antonio Spurs history.
