One of the great early running backs in the NFL he was fourth all-time in rushing upon his retirement in 1966. Was best know as part of the Million Dollar Back field along with Tittle, Perry and McElhenny who are all inducted into the Hall of Fame. He later played 6 seasons with the Steelers from 1960-1965 and it was there he enjoyed his greatest success and twice rushed for over 1000 yards.
