Mike Modano was four days away from his 18th birthday when the Minnesota North Stars selected him with the first overall pick in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. Modano became the second American in NHL history to be selected first overall. Prior to the 1993-94 NHL season, the North Stars moved from Minnesota to Dallas and became what is known today as the Dallas Stars. Modano became a star in Dallas and sold the most jerseys out of any player on the team. In 2011, Modano officially retired after signing a one-day contract that allowed him to retire with the Stars. Modano has inked his largest autograph available in the market in thick black paint pen. This framed 46"x20" display is ready to hang on your wall and features an oversized autograph accompanied by a high-quality print on acrylic of an action shot from an NHL game. Modano's signature is guaranteed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated's Five-Step Process.
