Superhero films are not only making their mark commercially, but the critics have overwhelmingly responded positively to this genre of art. The summer of 2015 featured a "smaller" character who saved the day in Ant-Man, which starred Paul Ruud as the title character and Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne. The cast also included Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, Michael Pena as Luis and rapper T.I. as Dave. The film was nominated for 15 awards, including a Teen Choice Summer Movie Star nomination for both Ruud and Lilly. It was revealed during the credits for Ant-Man that Lilly will be the next Wasp as the storyline continues with the expected July 2018 release of Ant-Man and the Wasp.
