The NBA Eastern Conference was dominated in the in the early 1980's by the Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics. In fact, they were the only two teams to reach the NBA Finals between the years 1980-1987. The two biggest stars of those championship caliber teams were Julius "Dr. J" Erving and Larry Bird. Larry Bird and Dr. J battled throughout the early part of the decade and this image captures on of these moments.
