When Glen Rice entered the NBA out of the University of Michigan in 1989, he was thought to be one of the best 3-point shooters and overall offensive players. Needing a scorer, the expansion Miami Heat drafted him fourth overall. By his third season, he was a 20-point scorer who was second in the league in 3-point field goals made (155) and helped the Heat reach the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. During his final season with the Heat in 1995, Rice was selected to participate in the NBA All-Star Long Distance Shootout. The field included sharp shooters Dan Majerle, Steve Kerr, Chuck Person and Reggie Miller among others. The finals came down to Rice and Miller, with Rice winning 17-14. The following season Rice was traded to the Charlotte Hornets. During the Hornets 1996-97 season, Rice led the league in 3-point percentage at 47 percent. When the prolific shooter retired during the 2004 season, he was the 48th-leading scorer in NBA history and had made 1,559 3-pointers. This designed collage features three images of Rice in each of the Hornets' three jerseys shooting from long distance. Rice has signed and inscribed "1995 3 Point Champ" on this limited edition (41) Three Point Threat 16" x 20" image in silver paint pen. His signature and inscription are deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated's Five Step Process.
