A tall and lanky athlete when he came into the NBA from Germany as a teenager, Dirk Nowitzki struggled at first to fit into the mold of a typical power forward. So he reinvented what a power forward should be. Always an exceptional shooter, he gradually increased his range to become one of the league's top 3-point threats. He did that while he developed into a solid defender and rebounder and an even better leader. He led the Mavericks to their first-ever NBA Finals appearance in 2006 but Dallas came up short against the Miami Heat. Five years later, the Mavs returned to the Finals and this time came away with the organization's first championship. One of the game's all-time greatest shooters, Nowitzki is pictured here in four action shots, including his familiar one-footed fadeway jumper and his well-known celebration look after a made 3-pointer. The images are joined with the championship banner that is ghosted in the background inside this unique piece. It includes an 8" x 10" designed image and a 3" x 10" piece of NBA game-used floor on which Nowitzki played. Both are housed in our patented curve display. The authentic piece of game-used floor featured in this item was legally procured directly from an official NBA arena. Actual game-used floor section may vary in appearance from the product image shown.
