The Bus'' made his last stop the best one of all. Running back extraordinaire and surefire future NFL Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis had spent his 13-year-long career in pursuit of one elusive thing: a ring, a Super Bowl ring. And on February 5, 2006, he finally got it, as the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 21-10 in Super Bowl XL. During the post-game festivities, with his mission accomplished and as his family, teammates, fans and millions of television viewers worldwide looked on, Bettis announced that he was officially retired. But it all started at Notre Dame, where Bettis, during his college years, was a standout for the Fighting Irish. Jerome Bettis has hand signed this 16x20 photograph of the Fighting Irish.''
